In the classroom I would believe that the best use of technology would be this outline/web/graphing layout. Easy manipulate, view, and understand. If your teaching time is limited, you could simply have your lesson plan written out in an outline, so that the students already have the issues in front of them and are able to meet with each other to diagnose what problems they have with understanding things and figure it out together. Although, I'm not too sure that using technology would be playing a big role in this. You may also have a slide show or something of the sort to show the students, with the beginnings of an idea and ask the student to correlate with each other to figure what else could be related or connect with the given idea. The best way to go about teaching others is of course to know your stuff. This would incline that you would do some extra research on the subject just so that you could be prepared for any questions thrown your way. The extra research may actually surprise you with more knowledge then you knew to begin with, hence you have the chance to learn more about your subject and are more clear with all the processes or issues.

I agree with your points Inspiration is fast and wouldmake doing projects easier. It almost does everything for you there is no real thought or time put into the project now. I think that it is a great way to maybe ge kids started but dont let them use it evertime.
ReplyDeleteI also think that this program has great graphs, outlining, and presentation materials for students to use in the classroom. I think it will make things a lot easier on us as teachers. When everything is done on the computer there is no papers to carry around or to be lost.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the Inspiration program. I think it can be very useful to both students and teachers. I think it will become very popular in the future for many different reasons. It is a great tool for teacher for presentations during a lesson, and the fact that it can so easily be adjusted and changed in with a click of a mouse makes really convienant. I hope it is as easy to use as it seems to be on the video, if so then watch out. Everyone will be using this program.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinions. I like the fact that you think of research because that way we can learn on how we can make classrooms a better place. At the same time by using research we can learn more than what we already know, and this way we will be better off when it is time to teach. Overall I also like the opinion on how we may not have enough time to show the whole process of inspiration, but as you said we can easily give them an overview of how they can be successful .
